Liebchen...former Hero Therapy Dog

It was sad news that came to me yesterday...

When I started working with Hero Assistance Dogs I was totally amazed at the dedication that Dot and her german shepherd dog Liebchen had with the children through the literacy program. I never had the actual honor of meeting Dot and Liebchen, however, knew them very well through photos and emails. Their work together, as a team, made a world of difference in many children's lives.

The word came to me yesterday that Liebchen, 10 years old, past away last week. She will be truly missed and our hearts go out to Dot and her family. Even though Dot and Liebchen were no longer a part of Heroes, they will always be Heroes to us.

Thank you for your great work and we send out a special Rainbow Bridge to you. Liebchen will truly be missed by all.
